(Central News Agency reporter Su Chih-Yu, Taipei, 5th) The Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) rookie tryout will be held on June 15 at Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium. This year, 85 players have passed the qualification review, vying for the attention of teams to secure draft eligibility. Among them is Wang Yu-Fei, who experienced the Puyuma train accident, joining the challenge.

The CPBL announced on the 5th that 85 players have passed the qualification review, including 40 pitchers, 7 catchers, 21 infielders, and 17 outfielders. Those who receive a team recommendation from the tryout can participate in the rookie draft on June 29.

Wang Yu-Fei, who overcame serious injuries after the Puyuma train derailment and returned to the field, is currently studying at CTBC University of Technology. He has represented his team in the college baseball league for the past two years, accumulating practical experience through competitions at different levels. His dream of playing professional baseball has never faded, and he hopes to advance to a higher stage through this tryout.

Taipei City University pitcher Zhuang Cheng-Han will challenge the professional baseball realm this year. After leaving the field for a time, he returned to his team in his junior year. In his senior year, he won the MVP award in the Taoyuan Cup and pitched 2.2 scoreless innings in the college baseball league championship game, helping his team win the title.

Wu Guan-Ru played on the same team as Japanese league star Lin An-Ko in junior high school. He attended Zhongzheng Preparatory School in high school. To pursue his professional baseball dream, he restarted his career as a pitcher and joined the Japan Independent League's Hinokuni Salamanders this year to hone his skills, hoping to gain a team's favor through the tryout.

A pitcher-catcher duo from National Taitung University with the same name, Lin Cheng-En, both registered. Pitcher Lin Cheng-En has a top fastball speed of 143 km/h and has shown stable pitching performance through various college tournaments. Catcher Lin Cheng-En is the starting catcher for National Taitung University, known for his offensive and defensive skills, and won the Best Catcher award in this year's college baseball league.

Two players' younger brothers are also challenging. Li Li-Wei, the younger brother of Rakuten Monkeys player Li Hsun-Jie, continued to improve in college after failing in last year's draft, starting again from this year's tryout. Yang Huang-Po-Hsien, the younger brother of Japanese league player Yang Po-Hsiang, is an outfielder for Chinese Culture University with good hitting, speed, and defensive abilities, hoping to shine in the tryout.
