Fan Hsiao-hsuan Curates JAM JAM ASIA; Dee Hsu Wants to Attend but is Rejected

She revealed that her close friend Dee Hsu (小S) and others were very excited when they learned about her performance and said they 'really wanted to go,' but she has no plans to invite her. This year, Huang Yun-ling serves as the general producer, with Fan Hsiao-hsuan, Masa from Mayday, Di La Pang from Yan She, Mia Min Yen, and Chris as curators. Huang Yun-ling stated that Fan Hsiao-hsuan's creations have continuously influenced musicians for many years, and despite a busy schedule, she overcame difficulties to join the team. Huang Yun-ling noted that each curator brings different networks and musical perspectives, sparking many ideas during discussions. The process involved repeated communication and coordination with artists and management teams, making the curation challenging yet rewarding. Fan Hsiao-hsuan said that although each curator has a different background, their musical tastes and values are similar, making communication smooth. When asked if she considered inviting friends like Dee Hsu or Aya to perform, she laughed and said her friends were thrilled to learn she was a curator, and Dee Hsu had already expressed interest in participating. Regarding whether she would reserve seats for her late close friend Big S (大S), as was done at previous concerts, she stated that this is a music festival for all fans and musicians, different from a personal concert. She hopes to welcome outstanding musicians and fans from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia as a host, to enjoy this Asian music extravaganza together. Di La Pang revealed he has been a long-time fan of Fan Hsiao-hsuan's music, owning every album. He deliberately tried to stay calm during the first meeting, afraid of revealing his fanboy nature. He described the curation process as a 'music taste competition,' where everyone shared their favorite music and performance lineups, unexpectedly discovering a high mutual acceptance of different music genres. November also features performances by Japanese star Takuya Kimura and Korean top group BTS.
