(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 3, Reporter Hsu Chih-wei) The University Admissions Committee announced today that universities have released admission results for the 2026 academic year (115th school year) university application admission track. Both admitted and waitlisted students must complete online program preference registration from June 4 to 5. A total of 49,425 students are eligible to register, and centralized placement results will be announced on June 11.

The University Admissions Committee stated in a press release today that the second-stage designated subject interviews for the 2026 academic year university application admission track have concluded, and universities have announced their admission results.

Students admitted by universities (including both admitted and waitlisted students) must complete online program preference registration on the University Admissions Committee website (https://www.cac.edu.tw/) from June 4 to 5 (daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM) to participate in centralized placement.

Students admitted through the "Joint Guaranteed Admission Exam for Remote Island Areas and Indigenous Senior High School Graduates to National Normal and Education Universities" and the "Indigenous Peoples and Remote Island Areas Medical Personnel Training Program Public-Funded Student Exam" for the 2026 academic year must also register their program preferences online during the same period, just like students admitted through the application track.

According to committee data, the 2026 academic year university application admission track offered a total of 54,340 slots, with 78,280 applicants. Universities issued a total of 124,629 admission offers (including both admitted and waitlisted spots). A total of 49,425 students are eligible to register. Centralized placement results are scheduled to be announced on the University Admissions Committee website at 9:00 AM on June 11.

When registering their program preferences, admitted students must log into the system using their "General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT) exam number," the "last 4 digits of their ID number (or residence permit number)," and their "personal password." Regardless of whether a student is admitted to a single department or multiple departments, they must register their preferences online within the specified period; failure to do so will be considered a waiver of admission.

The committee noted that students admitted through the application track who are also admitted to the 8th academic group of the Star Recommendation program cannot register for online preference registration or participate in centralized placement. Similarly, students admitted through the application track who have also been admitted to and completed registration for the Music Department of National Taipei University of Education, or the Music and Fine Arts Departments of Taipei National University of the Arts, are not eligible to register for online preference registration or participate in centralized placement.
