New Taipei City to Launch Domestic Tourism Subsidy, Offering 1,000 NTD Accommodation Discounts

New Taipei City will launch a domestic tourism subsidy. Citizens need to download the 'My New Taipei City' app, register as a member, visit featured tourist spots in New Taipei City, and complete designated check-in tasks to receive a discount voucher of up to 1,000 NTD, which can be directly deducted from the costs of participating accommodations. The exact start date is yet to be announced. The Tourism and Travel Department of the New Taipei City Government released news today regarding the upcoming '115th Year Mountain and Sea E-Stay New Taipei Check-in Fun' domestic tourism subsidy, hoping to attract travelers from other counties and cities to visit and stay in New Taipei through digital tools and task mechanisms. Tourism Bureau Director Yang Zong-min stated that through the dual incentives of 'collecting stamps for rewards and discounting accommodation,' it can not only effectively extend the length of stay for travelers but also drive the overall development of the accommodation, commercial districts, and surrounding industries. The Tourism Bureau stated that the total budget for the project is 12 million NTD, with 12,000 accommodation discount vouchers of 1,000 NTD each, which will be distributed in batches. After opening the app wallet and completing at least one designated travel route, citizens can obtain a chance to draw prizes and a 1,000 NTD accommodation voucher. Additionally, there are rich lottery items with a total value of up to 5 million NTD. Due to considerations of information security and the accuracy of the recipient's data, the activity requires logging into the 'My New Taipei City' app with an advanced member account to enjoy the New Taipei Coin discount vouchers and lottery qualifications. Since the advanced membership qualification requires manual review, which takes about 3 to 5 working days, it is recommended that citizens complete the application before the activity starts to avoid missing out.
