Russian Attacks Across Ukraine Kill 4; Kyiv Apartment Damaged

Russian forces launched attacks across Ukraine early today, killing four people in the eastern city of Dnipro and damaging two apartment buildings in the capital, Kyiv. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that a 24-story apartment building was likely hit by a missile, causing partial structural collapse with people potentially trapped under the rubble. He added that preliminary reports indicate at least 14 people were injured across the city. Klitschko noted that a fire broke out in a non-residential area of the Podil district, and the roof of a nine-story apartment building also caught fire due to falling debris. 'In the Obolon district, missile debris caused cars to catch fire. Additionally, fires were reported in two open areas, one of which was near a kindergarten,' Klitschko wrote on Telegram. Thousands of Kyiv residents sought shelter in subway stations and other refuges after air raid sirens sounded. Most of Ukraine was under air raid alerts early today. Dnipro was attacked again, resulting in 4 deaths and 16 injuries. A two-story building was partially destroyed, and several apartments were damaged. In the Kharkiv region, Russian night shelling injured at least 6 people, including an 11-year-old girl. More than four years have passed since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022, with limited progress in peace talks. The Trump administration is currently focusing on conflicts in the Middle East.
