Forest recreation area staff uniforms updated; made from recycled oyster shells and plastic bottles

The Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency (FANCA) unveiled new uniforms for staff at national forest recreation areas today. The uniforms are made from recycled oyster shells and plastic bottles, combining functionality, aesthetics, and environmental sustainability. FANCA stated that the new uniforms are centered on the vision of 'Sustainable Forestry, Ecological Taiwan' and were developed in collaboration with a local Taiwanese design brand. The project took nearly a year and a half to plan and produce, in partnership with the Taiwanese company O-Click Enterprise Co., Ltd. Some of the fabrics for the spring/summer and autumn/winter tops use oyster shell yarn, which not only reduces marine waste but also provides antibacterial and anti-static functions. Additionally, the spring/summer tops use Lyocell fiber derived from wood pulp, ensuring softness and breathability. The design incorporates the curves and colors of the FANCA logo, reflecting the concept of harmony between humans and nature. To meet the needs of mountain work, the uniforms also feature moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and water-repellent properties.
