Taitung Expo Opening Concert: Symphony Meets Rock to Depict 16 Townships

CNA, Taitung, June 1. To welcome the 2026 Taitung Expo, the Taitung County Government will host the 'SLOW FOR LIFE' opening concert on July 2 at the Taitung County Stadium. The concert will combine symphonic music with pop and rock to depict the cultural landscapes and lifestyles of Taitung's 16 townships. The 2026 Taitung Expo will run from July 3 to August 20, focusing on the 'Slow Economy' as its core theme, with 'Taitung Blue' as its vision. The Taitung County Government announced that the NSYO National Youth Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Chiang Chen-hao, will perform. The concert will feature a large-scale symphonic arrangement blended with pop, rock, folk, and indigenous music elements. The lineup includes artists such as Chen Chien-nien, Wang Hung-en, Van Fan, Ricky Hsiao, and Faith Yang, spanning different generations and styles. The county government hopes that through this event, more people will see Taitung not just as a tourist destination, but as a desirable lifestyle.
