Central News Agency reporter Tseng Yun-ting, Taipei, May 31. The annual global tech event '2026 COMPUTEX' will take place from June 2 to 5. This year's theme is 'AI Together,' focusing on three major areas: AI computing, robotics and smart mobility, and next-generation technology. As AI applications extend from cloud computing to the physical world, this year's exhibition is not only the largest in history but is also seen as a key indicator that the world has officially entered the 'Physical AI' explosion period. This year, COMPUTEX has attracted 1,500 companies from 33 countries and regions, using 6,000 booths, setting a new record. In addition to the Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2, the exhibition has expanded back to the TWTC Hall 1 and the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). James Huang, Chairman of TAITRA, stated that the number of pre-registered international buyers has exceeded 25,000, with an expected final count of nearly 40,000, showing the global supply chain's high attention to Taiwan's AI industry cluster. One of the highlights this year is the 'AI Robotics Zone' newly established at the TWTC exhibition area. TAITRA stated that the zone will gather a complete supply chain, from sensors, motors, and reducers to system integration, showcasing robot applications in industrial automation, logistics, and healthcare. Participating companies include Hiwin Technologies, Yung Chang, Yulon, Solomon, Texas Instruments, and Nuwa Robotics. Furthermore, an 'E-Paper Industry Zone' will be set up at the TWTC, with E Ink Holdings partnering with Sharp, Etron, and 40 other upstream and downstream partners to showcase full-color large e-paper signage, low-carbon smart e-paper tags, and medical display solutions. The keynote lineup includes CEOs from Qualcomm, Intel, Marvell, and NXP. The COMPUTEX Forum will attract executives from nearly 30 top global tech companies, including Google and NVIDIA, with the total market value of participating companies exceeding $10 trillion. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang will host 'NVIDIA GTC Taipei' at the TICC, focusing on the latest progress in physical AI, AI factories, and agent systems. Additionally, Huang will deliver a speech at the Taipei Music Center on June 1 at 11:00 AM, where he is expected to announce new-generation AI technologies and product layouts.
