US F-15 Fighter Jet Shot Down in Iran, Possibly by Chinese-made Shoulder-fired Missile

According to NBC News, the US F-15E Strike Eagle shot down in southwestern Iran last month was likely hit by a Chinese-made shoulder-fired missile, also known as a MANPADS. US officials are also investigating whether China provided Iran with long-range early warning radar capable of detecting stealth aircraft. While President Trump has stated that President Xi Jinping promised not to provide weapons to Iran, this incident has complicated US-China relations. Both crew members on the jet were safely rescued after a dangerous mission.
