Brazil International Ceramic Exhibition: Taiwanese Ceramic Artist Huang Lin Yue-jiao Showcases the Power of Cross-Cultural Exchange

The 11th "Cosmos Ceramic" International Ceramic Exhibition in Brazil is being held at the Sao Paulo Municipal Archive from the 25th to June 3rd. Nearly 50 ceramic artists from different regions have gathered to showcase contemporary works with diverse techniques and styles. Taiwanese ceramic artist Huang Lin Yue-jiao is demonstrating the power of cross-cultural exchange, using ceramic creation to heal her mind and life. Japanese-Brazilian curator Eliana Tsuru stated that the exhibition aims to present the diversity and contemporary spirit of ceramic art, allowing the audience to feel the cultural depth and aesthetic value of ceramics through different creative languages. Among the many participants, Huang Lin Yue-jiao, the only one from Taiwan, is particularly eye-catching. She is also the president of the Brazil chapter of the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women. In an interview with the Central News Agency, Huang Lin Yue-jiao said that she had been interested in art and handicrafts since she was young, but had interrupted it for many years due to her busy business in Brazil. More than six years ago, after her husband passed away suddenly, she fell into deep grief. Her daughter took her to a pottery class, which allowed her to gradually overcome her pain through the focus of kneading ceramic clay. "The pottery I learned uses clay, all handmade, slowly kneaded into the desired shape. When I am immersed in creation, my mood calms down, and over the years, I have gradually grown to love ceramic craftsmanship," she said. With the introduction of her daughter and the encouragement of friends in the overseas Chinese community, she has participated in the Brazilian ceramic artists' exhibition for four consecutive years. Huang Lin Yue-jiao pointed out that ceramic creation is not only a way for personal spiritual healing but also allows Brazilian society to see the artistic talent of Chinese women, enhancing the visibility of the overseas Chinese community locally. During the event, the founder of the Brazil Chinese Information Network, Zhi Huang Xiu-li, the president of the Americas Times, Si Bi-yao, and representatives from political and business circles all came to support her. This exhibition presents the diversity of ceramic art and witnesses the power of cross-cultural exchange, allowing the stories of the overseas Chinese community to bloom on the international art stage.
