HBL Finals MVP Liu Ting-kuan Discusses Future, Weighs Options for US Challenge

Following his role in helping Songshan High School secure a repeat championship in the High School Basketball League (HBL), Finals MVP Liu Ting-kuan's future remains a topic of interest. At an event today, he stated he is still evaluating whether to challenge himself in the United States. Having helped the 'Green Shield' return to glory as a sophomore, Liu took on the captaincy in his senior year, leading the team to its third repeat championship in school history. Regarding his future, Liu noted that he has not yet confirmed his path. He is weighing the high costs of moving to the US against the potential for skill development and playing time, aiming to make a final decision by August after consulting with his family. If he stays in Taiwan, he plans to join the rising power Huwei University of Science and Technology. He also expressed gratitude for the 100,000 TWD scholarship from the Wade Star Scholarship Program, which helped alleviate his family's financial burden.
