AMD Donates 31 AI Laptops to Tainan City Government

Central News Agency, Tainan, May 28. AMD Taiwan donated 31 AI laptops to the Tainan City Government today. The laptops will be deployed at the Tainan AI Innovation Center to support students in robotics, AI applications, and technology courses. AMD Taiwan held a donation ceremony at the Yonghua Municipal Center, where Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che accepted the donation. Mayor Huang presented a certificate of appreciation, thanking AMD for its commitment to corporate social responsibility and its support for Tainan's technology education. Mayor Huang noted that Tainan is actively promoting AI education and talent development, and that AMD's donation is significant for the city's AI teaching development. He also expressed gratitude to AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su, a Tainan native, for her continued interest in her hometown's educational development. Mayor Huang stated that the city has been building digital and AI learning environments, and these high-performance laptops will be used to enhance smart teaching equipment in schools, helping students learn at their own pace and improving their global competitiveness.
