Cloudbase Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has released an interview regarding the implementation of its domestic CNAPP, 'Cloudbase,' at Kioxia Corporation. Following its spin-off from Toshiba, Kioxia transitioned to an in-house cloud operation system but faced challenges due to the lack of a continuous security monitoring mechanism. By implementing Cloudbase, Kioxia established a 24/7 monitoring system for its cloud environment even with a small team. Policies were refined within about six months of operation, and security risks were significantly reduced after about a year. Furthermore, the company gained the ability to prove security to management using quantitative and qualitative data, enhancing internal persuasion. Future plans include considering automatic responses via CDR and expanding monitoring to SaaS and OT domains. Cloudbase is a security platform that integrates and visualizes configuration errors and vulnerabilities in public clouds such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, supporting remediation efforts.
