Classroom Adventure Inc. has officially joined the 'UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance (MIL Alliance)', an international network promoted by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
The MIL Alliance is a global platform aimed at the dissemination and development of Media and Information Literacy (MIL). It brings together a diverse range of stakeholders, including educational institutions, research organizations, media, libraries, civil society organizations, governments, and experts from over 100 countries and regions. With more than 300 member organizations and 200 individual experts, the alliance supports global MIL promotion through the sharing of knowledge and practices, contribution to policy formation, and promotion of international cooperation.
Developing from a framework started in 2013, the MIL Alliance was restructured in 2020 from the former 'Global Alliance for Partnerships on Media and Information Literacy (GAPMIL)' into its current form. In recent years, its function as a global collaboration platform has been further strengthened through the development of digital hubs, the establishment of a global board, and the formulation of strategic action plans.
Classroom Adventure has been developing game-based educational materials that empower learners to independently investigate, verify, and judge information through mystery-solving and storytelling experiences. Its flagship program, 'Ray's Blog', addresses information environments from misinformation on social media to the era of generative AI. It is a media literacy program where students practically learn to check primary sources, verify information origins, and compare multiple sources within a narrative experience. It is currently provided to educational institutions in 14 countries worldwide.
Furthermore, the company has focused on international initiatives where young people tackle real-time verification challenges. In the 'GenAsia Challenge 2025' (Youth Fact-Checking Championship), the company collaborates with organizations across Asia to conduct information verification competitions for 12 to 24-year-olds, using generative AI fakes and disaster-related rumors as subjects. Through these practices, the company has expanded the form of learning where information literacy is acquired not just as 'knowledge' but as 'action' and 'collaboration'.
By joining the MIL Alliance, Classroom Adventure will further deepen its collaboration with educational institutions, researchers, media professionals, and civil society organizations worldwide, and internationally communicate the potential of media and information literacy education through game-based and experiential approaches.
Guided by the philosophy of 'Make Maenomeri' (Create Proactiveness), the company remains committed to implementing education that fosters the ability for each individual to verify, think, and judge for themselves in an era of information overflow.
