Classroom Adventure Partners with Taipei Public Library to Offer Fact-Checking Game "Ray's Blog - The Hidden One in Class 3B"

Classroom Adventure Inc. has announced a partnership with the Taipei Public Library to conduct workshops utilizing "The Hidden One in Class 3B," the Traditional Chinese adaptation of their media and information literacy educational material, "Ray's Blog." These workshops are integrated into the Taipei Public Library's "2026 World Book Day 'Reading Game'" program, with sessions planned for May 3rd at the Yongchun Branch and May 31st at the Main Library. "Ray's Blog" is an interactive, game-based educational tool designed by Classroom Adventure. It immerses participants in an anime-inspired environment where they learn to "doubt, investigate, and judge" information by performing fact-checks on search results and content generated by AI. The initiative's expansion into Taiwan was facilitated through collaboration with the Taiwan FactCheck Center. In April 2024, following approximately three months of joint work by Classroom Adventure and their Taiwanese partners to develop Chinese voiceovers and subtitles for enhanced immersion, "The Hidden One in Class 3B" was officially launched. The upcoming workshops will be led by instructors from the Taiwan FactCheck Center. Participants will engage with the game to acquire fact-checking principles and media and information literacy skills. The program is structured to ensure that the learning extends beyond the game experience, with instructors guiding participants through a review of the verification steps and critical thinking processes used in the game, thereby fostering skills applicable to their daily information consumption. Through its partnership with the Taipei Public Library, "Ray's Blog" aims to broaden its reach beyond educational institutions, connecting with public libraries and fact-checking bodies worldwide. This open access provided by public libraries allows for a synergistic combination of reading promotion, interactive gaming, and media and information literacy education, delivering an enjoyable and practical learning experience to a wider youth demographic. The context for this expansion in Taiwan is the significant public interest among Taiwanese citizens in evaluating information veracity and the importance of fact-checking. Taiwan's educational policies are increasingly prioritizing media literacy in the digital era, as demonstrated by the Ministry of Education's "Digital Age Media Literacy Education White Paper," issued in 2023. Furthermore, media literacy and fact-checking methodologies have been widely emphasized within Taiwan's school curricula and civil society initiatives. Classroom Adventure has a history of developing educational materials that encourage learners to actively verify, analyze, and form judgments about information through engaging puzzles and narrative experiences, rather than passively receiving it. Through these workshops with the Taipei Public Library, Classroom Adventure is committed to providing practical and engaging media and information literacy education to the younger generation in Taiwan.
