(hereinafter "Adecco"), planned and operated the "Wakayama Prefecture Plum Products Soaring into Asia! Thailand, Bangkok Market Development Project," and held the "BEST UME FAIR" at Siam Takashimaya in Bangkok from February 11 to 15, 2026.
13 Plum Businesses from Minabe Town, Wakayama Prefecture, Sold Approximately 40 Products
This project aimed to promote plum wine, pickled plums (umeboshi), and processed plum products made from "Kishu Nanko Ume" from Minabe Town, Wakayama Prefecture, in the Asian market and to develop sales channels for the 13 participating plum businesses. As part of this, a product event for plum wine and plum products was held at Siam Takashimaya, located in ICONSIAM, one of Bangkok's leading large luxury malls. During the event, plum business operators also visited the site, gaining direct insight into the real voices of Thai consumers through in-store sales support and experiencing the high purchasing power of the local market firsthand.
During the fair, plum wine, in particular, attracted significant interest among plum products, with some customers buying entire carts full, exceeding initial expectations. Furthermore, some purchasers inquired, "I plan to visit Japan, please tell me where I can buy these products in Japan," indicating the high demand for inbound tourism to Japan in Thailand.

Customer Attraction Promotion by Influencers Using TikTok
For the public relations and advertising of this event, TikTok, which has a high usage rate in Thailand, was utilized to conduct promotional activities by influencers. Specifically, 10 influencers with followers highly interested in Japanese travel, overseas trends, and food were carefully selected. Through video introductions at the event venue, live tasting reports, and announcements of prize giveaways, effective customer attraction was achieved. Furthermore, beyond mere sales, the venue also showcased the history of Nanko Ume, the passion of its producers, and the dedication in the manufacturing process through videos and pamphlets, focusing on appealing to the younger Thai consumer demographic through influencers.
