### 13 Plum Businesses from Minabe, Wakayama, Sell Approximately 40 Products
This project aimed to promote plum wine, pickled plums (umeboshi), and processed plum products made from "Kishu Nanko-ume" from Minabe, Wakayama, in the Asian market, and to develop sales channels for the 13 participating plum businesses. As part of this initiative, a product event for plum wine and plum products was held at Siam Takashimaya, located in ICONSIAM, one of Bangkok's premier luxury malls. During the event, the plum business operators visited the site, providing them with an opportunity to hear direct feedback from Thai consumers through in-store sales support and to experience the high purchasing power of the local market firsthand.
During the event, plum wine in particular garnered significant interest, with some customers purchasing large quantities to fill their shopping carts, resulting in a response that exceeded initial expectations. Furthermore, some purchasers asked, "I am planning to visit Japan; could you tell me where I can buy this in Japan?"—a result that highlights the high demand for inbound tourism to Japan within Thailand.
### Customer Attraction Promotion via Influencers Using TikTok
For the publicity and promotion of this event, we utilized TikTok, which has a high usage rate in Thailand, and conducted promotional campaigns featuring influencers. In particular, we carefully selected 10 influencers with followers interested in travel to Japan, overseas trends, and food. Through video introductions at the event venue, live tasting reports, and announcements of giveaway campaigns, we achieved effective customer attraction. Furthermore, we focused not only on sales but also on appealing to the younger generation of Thai consumers through influencers by introducing the history of Nanko-ume, the producers' passion, and the dedication involved in the manufacturing process via videos and pamphlets.
