Yokohama City's 'Yokohama Life Support Coupon' Starts Accepting Phone Orders for Gift Certificates from June 1

Yokohama City is implementing the 'Yokohama Life Support Coupon' project, utilizing the national government's special local grants for priority support, to provide the equivalent of 5,000 yen per citizen.

Starting June 1, the city began accepting applications for gift certificates by phone at the 'Yokohama Life Support Coupon Call Center' as a support measure for those who do not own a smartphone, have difficulty visiting consultation booths, or find it hard to get help from family members for applications.

*For those who have not completed their application by June 10, a reminder postcard is scheduled to be sent in late June.
*Gift certificates will be shipped sequentially in the order applications are received.

(1) Eligible Persons: Persons aged 19 or older as of April 1, 2026 (Reiwa 8), who were registered as residents of the city as of the base date (February 1, 2026).
(2) Benefit Details: Electronic coupons or gift certificates equivalent to 5,000 yen per person.
(3) Application Deadline: Until Friday, July 31, 2026.
