Yokohama City Tsurumi Ward's 100th Anniversary Commemorative Logo Mark and Catchphrase Decided!

The logo mark and catchphrase have been decided to build momentum for the 100th anniversary of Tsurumi Ward, which will be celebrated on October 1, Reiwa 9 (2027). The logo mark received 4,592 votes, and the catchphrase received 142 applications.

Going forward, these will be actively utilized in related events and public relations. We encourage everyone to use them and join us in making the 100th anniversary a great success.

■Logo Mark

The logo mark was decided through voting at events and facilities within the ward, from three design proposals incorporating Tsurumi Ward's mascot character "Wak-kun."

＜Design Concept＞

A pop design that expresses the charm of Tsurumi, a city where diverse cultures thrive, and the excitement of celebrating its 100th anniversary, using a colorful palette, with the profile of "Wak-kun" modeled after the shape of Tsurumi Ward as its motif.

■Catchphrase

The catchphrase was selected through a public call for entries targeting residents, workers, and students in Tsurumi Ward, or those with ties to Tsurumi Ward, and decided by the Tsurumi Ward 100th Anniversary Project Executive Committee.
