Meaning behind the name "Tsuratte"
"Tsuratte" is a word in the Hida region dialect meaning "together."
We named the network "Tsuratte" with the hope that people who have moved or are considering moving to Takayama City will expand their circle of exchange and enrich their lives in Takayama by engaging in various activities "together."
What kind of activities do we do?
Mainly, we hold several events, workshops, and casual chat gatherings a few times a year, where participants can experience the culture and nature of Hida Takayama.
For example, observing the preparation of floats for the Takayama Festival, guided walking tours in Utsue Forty-Eight Falls Prefectural Natural Park, Japanese sake seminars with tasting, and history lectures to learn about the history and changes of the old townscape.
At exchange meetings in cafes, transferees can easily exchange information, discussing daily life in Takayama City, favorite places and recommended shops they've recently visited, and even minor concerns.
Of course, members can also organize events themselves! Takayama City will assist with the organization.
