From now until July 7, 2026 (Tuesday), seven towering bamboo stalks, each approximately 5 meters tall, will be displayed at the Amami Ruins Park Park Center in Takatsuki City. Why not participate in this Tanabata event by writing your heartfelt wishes on tanzaku paper and decorating the giant bamboo?
This initiative is a popular annual event hosted by the Amami Ruins Park Partners, the organization managing the park, to celebrate Tanabata—one of Japan’s five seasonal festivals. Since the park’s opening in 2019, this event has been held every year ahead of Tanabata to engage the community with traditional culture.
During the event period, seven giant bamboo stalks, each about 5 meters high, will be installed inside the Park Center. The first 1,000 visitors will receive free tanzaku paper strips to write their wishes on, which they can then hang on the bamboo. We warmly invite you to visit and enjoy the Tanabata festivities at Amami Ruins Park.
