High School Students in Osaka Prefecture to Showcase Serious Dance Performances in Takatsuki City

On Thursday, July 23, 2026, the high school dance competition TED (Takatsuki Earnest Dancers), planned and operated independently by high school students, will be held at Takatsuki Castle Park Arts & Culture Theater. Please enjoy the serious performances by over 500 dance club members from 21 schools, mainly from within Takatsuki City.

The competition was first held in 2009 as a 'serious dance recital by Takatsuki high school students.' This will be the 17th edition, and it has gradually expanded to include schools from outside the city. A key feature of this event is that the TED Executive Committee, composed of students from the participating schools' dance clubs, handles the planning and operation. The previous event was highly popular, with tickets nearly selling out.

This year, over 500 dance club members from a total of 21 schools, including city schools such as Akutagawa High School, Abuno High School, Daikan High School, Takatsuki Kita High School, Tsuki no Ki High School, and Mishima High School, as well as schools from outside the city like Ibaraki, Suita, Ikeda, and Toyonaka, will gather at Takatsuki Castle Park Arts & Culture Theater. The event will feature a presentation division mainly for new students, a contest division for upperclassmen, and a dance battle for individuals. Please enjoy the impressive dance performances by these serious high school students.
