'Shinagawa Bowl' Newly Offered at Restaurants within Public Facilities

Shinagawa City, in collaboration with Kewpie Corporation, has launched the 'Shinagawa Bowl' project, aimed at resolving residents' vegetable deficiency and promoting health. Starting this month, the 'Shinagawa Bowl' will be available at 'info&cafe SQUARE' (1st floor of Square Ebara), making it accessible in a familiar public facility for the first time outside the city hall cafeteria.

This Shinagawa Bowl is perfect for early summer, incorporating seasonal broad beans and plenty of vegetables. It features a hearty chicken steak to ensure sufficient protein and satisfaction, while a refreshing lemon and tomato flavor makes it easy to eat.

About the 'Shinagawa Bowl' Project

The 'Shinagawa Bowl' project is an initiative by Shinagawa City in collaboration with Kewpie Corporation, leveraging the strengths of both the administration and private enterprise to improve the dietary environment for residents.

A survey in Reiwa 5 (2023) revealed that only 3.3% of residents consumed sufficient vegetables, making dietary improvement an urgent issue. To address these challenges, the project was launched with the aim of developing a dietary environment that is difficult for the administration alone to achieve, from the perspective of residents' 'well-being' and happiness, and due to its high affinity with Kewpie's 'Salad First' philosophy. Through this project, we promote food education and health support to realize a 'Happy Diverse City' where everyone can live a healthy life true to themselves.
