Background and Objectives
The business environment surrounding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has become increasingly challenging due to labor shortages, rising prices, and soaring energy costs.
For companies to sustain growth, increasing sales through market development and sales channel expansion is essential. However, as labor shortages deepen, relying solely on traditional sales methods is placing growing human and financial burdens on businesses.
To address these challenges, digital marketing has become increasingly important, offering continuous customer engagement without constraints of time or location. Yet, many SMEs face limitations in talent, expertise, and funding, hindering effective adoption—especially in the B2B (business-to-business) sector, where complex transaction structures and decision-making processes have further delayed implementation.
This initiative aims to achieve effective sales expansion and revenue growth by providing tailored, expert-led support customized to each company's specific challenges.
Project Overview
Okayama City will implement a hands-on support program for local B2B SMEs struggling with sales expansion and revenue growth. Experts will work closely with each company to learn effective information dissemination strategies and modern sales expansion methods, helping businesses build sustainable internal capabilities that continue beyond the support period.
Last year, all seven participating companies achieved their self-defined business goals, with 100% satisfaction reported for the consulting support.
