[Nogata City] "Parent-Child Pottery Design Class" to be Held

Nogata City Board of Education will hold a "Parent-Child Pottery Design Class" as an experiential workshop for parents and children during the summer vacation.

In this workshop, participants will experience "Porcelarts," a craft where original tableware is made by applying transfer sheets to white porcelain. It is easy enough for elementary school students to participate, and parents and children can enjoy creating one-of-a-kind tableware together.

We hope this will be an opportunity to foster creativity and sensitivity through cooperation between parents and children, and to deepen their appreciation for objects and interest in food by using the finished tableware in their daily lives.

- Date and Time: August 8, 2026 (Sat)

Morning Session: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Afternoon Session: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM

*Application required (lottery if applications exceed capacity)

- Venue: Nogata City Central Community Center, Main Conference Room

- Target Participants: Elementary school students living or attending school in the city and their guardians

- Number of Participants: 20 pairs per session

- Participation Fee: Free

- Content: Parents and children will create original tableware using the Porcelarts technique.

- Instructor: Yumiko Nozaki (Certified Porcelarts Instructor, Nihon Vogue Co., Ltd.)
