Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture: Details for Reiwa 8 (2026) "Naruto City Awa Odori" and "Naruto Summer Festival" Events and Operations Decided

The "Naruto Awa Odori Executive Committee" held a meeting on April 28th, where the dates and operational details for the "Naruto City Awa Odori" and "Naruto Summer Festival" were decided.

**Event Details**

**Reiwa 8 (2026) Naruto City Awa Odori**

* **Dates:** August 9th (Sunday) - August 11th (Tuesday/Holiday), 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM each day
* **Location:** Special dance stages around Naruto Station

* **Paid Dance Stage:** East Dance Stage (approx. 80m long seating area installed)
* **Admission Fee:** 1,200 yen for elementary school students and above (advance tickets 900 yen)
* *Half price (600 yen on the day, 450 yen in advance) for holders of physical disability certificates, rehabilitation certificates, or mental disability welfare certificates, and one caregiver.*
* **Free Dance Stages:** West Odori Plaza, Honmachi Odori Plaza, Omichi Odori Street

* **Famous Dance Groups:** 15 groups from Tokushima City's "Awa Odori Promotion Association" will perform over the three days.
* **Advance Ticket Sales:** Start 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 1st, at the Naruto City Uzushio Tourism Association counter and other locations.

* **First Dance (Hatsu Odori):** August 9th (Sunday), 2026, 10:00 AM - (20 minutes) / Naruto Park Senjojiki Observation Deck

* **Location:** Naruto-Otsuka Sports Park

* **Time:** 5:30 PM - 8:20 PM
* **Location:** Near the Clock Tower
* **Performers:** Stage planning by Naruto Itano JCI (including Awa Odori by the City Awa Odori Promotion Association, etc.)
* **② Festival Stalls and Marche**
* **Time:** 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM
* **Location:** Between the front of Sports Park and the monument
* **Content:** Festival stalls such as shaved ice and lottery (approx. 60 vendors), Marche stalls by the Twilight Market Executive Committee (approx. 40 vendors)
* **③ Music Fireworks x Laser Light Performance**
* **Time:** 8:40 PM - 9:00 PM
* **Launch Location:** Near the tea ceremony house side pond
* **Fireworks Content:** Approx. 1,000 shots launched (up to No. 2.5 shell)
* **Viewing Areas:** Around Pocari Sweat Stadium and 2nd Athletic Field, etc.
