Starting Today! Public Call for Nicknames for the (Tentative Name) Higashi-Azabu 2-chome Multi-purpose Public Facility Building

Minato Ward has today, May 1, Reiwa 8 (2026), begun soliciting nicknames for the "(tentative name) Higashi-Azabu 2-chome Multi-purpose Public Facility Building," which is currently under development at the former Iikura Elementary School site (Higashi-Azabu 2-chome). This facility will be equipped with a small-scale multi-functional in-home care facility and a community collaboration space, and is expected to be utilized by many people as a regional interaction hub. After its completion, a public call for nicknames will be conducted as a community participation initiative, aiming for the facility to be affectionately called by residents and local people, and to be loved for a long time.

Winners of the Grand Prize (1 person) and Excellence Awards (approx. 3 people) will receive a certificate of commendation, as well as gift codes for Minato Ward's local currency "MinatoKu PAY" as supplementary prizes.
