Maizuru City will host the 'Maizuru City Exhibition 2026,' a public exhibition showcasing the results of citizens' lifelong learning efforts, from June 18th (Thu) to June 21st (Sun) at the Maizuru City General Cultural Hall.

This year, the event goes beyond mere exhibition; it includes 'Interactive Art Appreciation Sessions' for enjoying discussions through art, and 'PLAY ART MAIZURU,' an event for experiencing art with all five senses. The goal is to open new doors for art where viewers and creators can connect.

### Overview of Maizuru City Exhibition 2026
Passionate works by citizens across five categories—Western painting, Japanese painting, calligraphy, photography, and crafts—will be on display. The final day will feature an awards ceremony and 'Critique Sessions' where participants can speak directly with judges.

### 'Interactive Art Appreciation Session'
Under the theme 'The Journey of Art with No Right Answer,' this workshop, guided by an Art Mind Coach, allows participants to discuss impressions and deeply interpret the artworks together.

### 'PLAY ART MAIZURU'

1. **Active Paint x Chalk Art Collaboration** (Instructors: YOSHHI. / Chalk artist Kana)
- Throw it, draw it! A full-body art experience (Held on 6/20 and 6/21).
2. **Aroma Soap Making** (Instructor: Spice Nard Eiko Okumizu)
- Create your own original soap while surrounded by scent (Held on 6/20).
3. **Nerikiri (Japanese Confectionery) Experience** (Instructor: Junyo Hagiwara)
- Create adorable Japanese sweets that celebrate the season (Held on 6/21).
