A Moment of Music Fills the City Hall Lobby: Lobby Concert Held

Maizuru City held the "Maizuru City Hall Lobby Concert with a View of the Sea" on Tuesday, March 17, Reiwa 8 (2026), in the Citizen's Hall on the 1st floor of the City Hall.

This time, we welcomed the duo unit "amapola," a rare combination in Japan featuring Paraguayan harp and alto saxophone.

On the day of the event, they performed a diverse range of songs, including "Amazing Grace," the Latin music classic "Coffee Rumba," and Hibari Misora's "Ai Sansan." The delicate and soft tones of the Paraguayan harp intertwined with the deep resonance of the alto saxophone, filling the Citizen's Hall with pleasant music.

Many visitors and citizens stopped to enjoy the concert, held during lunchtime, making it a peaceful and warm occasion.

Maizuru City will continue to hold lobby concerts in the future, providing opportunities for citizens to easily engage with culture and art.
