Machida City has been implementing the "Citizen Participation Project Evaluation" since fiscal year 2008 to utilize citizens' voices for improving administrative management and services.

The 2026 project evaluation, scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 28, will involve high school students residing or attending school in the city, and citizens residing in the city, from the selection of target projects to their evaluation.
