【Machida City, Tokyo】Nanakuniyama's Spring Tradition! Rapeseed Blossoms in Full Bloom

In the northwestern part of Machida Yakushiike Park Shikisai no Mori, in the fields near the Botan Garden, Furusato Nogukan (Folk Tool Museum), and Nanakuniyama Farmers Center, the rapeseed blossoms are coming into full bloom.
These rapeseed blossoms are cultivated by the Nanakuniyama Fureai no Sato Kumiai (Nanakuniyama Friendship Village Association), composed of local farmers, to preserve the agricultural landscape. After enjoying the flowers, the rapeseed seeds ("natane") will be harvested, and a demonstration and sale of rapeseed oil pressing will be held once a month at the "Furusato Nogukan."
Sales of Nanakuniyama Soba and soba flour, made from buckwheat harvested last autumn, will also begin on April 1st.

**Access**
From Machida Station North Exit POP Building, bus stop 21, take a bus bound for Nozuta Shako via Honmachida or for Tsurukawa Station via Honmachida. Get off at "Yakushigaoka" and walk for about 10 minutes.
*There is no parking available, so please use public transportation. Please refrain from street parking as it causes inconvenience to local residents.
