Kakogawa City Promotes 'River-Town Development' and Releases Event Schedule

Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture, is promoting 'River-Town Development' aimed at creating a positive space where 'river space' and 'town space' merge, utilizing the rich waterfront of the Kakogawa River, a first-class river. As part of this effort, in fiscal year 2026, following the previous year, various events by civic groups utilizing city subsidies will be held to create new vibrancy along the Kakogawa riverbanks. The city is also working on developing facilities such as restaurants on the embankments as new hubs for interaction. This project is being implemented as part of 'Mizubering,' a public-private project that opens up new possibilities for waterfront utilization.
