Kadoma City Cultural Creation Library KADOMADO, a hub for learning and regional revitalization centered around a library, will open on Wednesday, May 13.

Here, we introduce the floors of KADOMADO!

Director of KADOMADO: Mr. Akio Kumitani

Director Kumitani shares his thoughts on KADOMADO:

'I want KADOMADO to be a "daily place to belong" where people can drop by casually, even without a specific purpose like reading books or attending an event. This facility, which integrates a library, cultural center, cafe, and regional information space, is a place where people of all generations and backgrounds, from children to the elderly, can naturally meet and interact. Time spent quietly facing a book, time spent enjoying learning or expression, and time spent talking with someone are all important cultures in the daily life of Kadoma. At KADOMADO, we will respect each of these moments and strive to operate the facility in a way that stays close to the lives of our citizens.

Growing opportunities for new challenges to emerge and circles of people to expand through events, exhibitions, and collaborations with the community is also an important role. It is not complete once it opens; it is a facility that continues to change based on everyone's voices. I hope to nurture this place together with the citizens so that it becomes a "window" (mado) that gently illuminates the future of Kadoma.'
