Izumiotsu City and Kansai Transway Co., Ltd. Conclude Comprehensive Partnership Agreement

Izumiotsu City, Osaka Prefecture (Mayor: Kenichi Minamide) has concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with Kansai Transway Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Yoshihiro Ikebe, Location: Abiko, Izumiotsu City, hereinafter "Kansai Transway"), a logistics company headquartered in the city, for regional revitalization and solving local issues in the following five areas:

Matters concerning regional revitalization
Matters concerning sports promotion
Matters concerning disaster prevention
Matters concerning human resource development, employment promotion, and local employment promotion
Matters concerning city promotion

Izumiotsu City, with its port, has flourished as a transportation hub since ancient times, and even today, logistics remains a crucial foundation supporting the city's industry and citizens' lives. In this context, the city's goals aligned with Kansai Transway's intention to contribute actively to the community while fulfilling its role in supporting people's lives through logistics functions, leading to the conclusion of this partnership agreement.

Kansai Transway possesses advanced logistics functions such as a wide-area distribution network for food logistics and three-temperature zone transportation, and plays a role in supporting daily life by handling upstream logistics, which involves bonded operations (import/export), as well as downstream logistics, including distribution processing and last-mile delivery. Through this partnership, both parties will leverage their resources to develop initiatives for regional revitalization in a wide range of fields, including "sports promotion," "disaster prevention," "human resource development," and "city promotion."

As part of this partnership, and as a regional contribution to create opportunities for children in the city to experience authentic sports, 400 tickets for a professional baseball official game held at Hanshin Koshien Stadium were donated. This is expected to broaden children's dreams and possibilities and contribute to the promotion of sports in the region.

Furthermore, in other areas of collaboration, both parties will maximize the use of the company's logistics network and resources to further strengthen regional ties and develop initiatives that lead to sustainable development.

Through this partnership, Izumiotsu City and Kansai Transway will promote community development for the future, aiming to improve citizen services and achieve sustainable regional development.
