《Background of the Event》 'Nakayama Chestnut' is one of the three major chestnuts in Japan. Ehime Prefecture ranks 3rd in the nation for chestnut production. With a long history, the 'Nakayama Chestnut' was presented to the third Shogun, Tokugawa Iemitsu, and received high praise. Despite being a famous production area for chestnuts, Nakayama Town is not widely known.
