Itabashi Ward Launches Subsidy Program for Residential Security Equipment

In response to growing concerns over recent robbery incidents, Itabashi Ward began accepting applications on June 1, 2026, for a subsidy program covering part of the costs for purchasing and installing security equipment. The initiative aims to prevent residential break-ins and ensure the safety and peace of mind of residents. Eligible applicants are heads of households registered and residing in Itabashi Ward. Covered items include security cameras, intercoms with cameras, auxiliary locks, and security glass. The subsidy covers three-quarters of the costs, up to a maximum of 30,000 yen. Applications are accepted until February 28, 2027, or until the budget is exhausted.
