The Itabashi Ward Board of Education (Director of Education: Yutaka Naganuma, hereinafter referred to as "the Ward") has formulated the new education vision "MIRAI SCHOOL ITABASHI - Education Vision 2035 -" for the 10 years from Reiwa 8 (2026) to Reiwa 17 (2035).

In an era where predicting the future is extremely difficult, the environment surrounding education is becoming increasingly complex, diverse, and multi-generational. This includes the diversifying needs of children, the required educational facilities, the enhancement of individual support systems for issues like school refusal, the growing need for lifelong learning due to increased life expectancy, and the reform of teachers' working styles.

Amidst this, the Ward has set the desired future image as "MIRAI SCHOOL ITABASHI" in "Education Vision 2035," with the motto "Education exists for people to live happy lives." The aspiration is for everyone to lead a life where they can feel the joy of learning, the joy of growing, and the joy of connecting with others through education. "MIRAI" embodies the concept of "Five Powers to Nurture," and the aim is to realize "MIRAI SCHOOL ITABASHI" by making the entire Itabashi area a learning campus.

The Ward believes that education based on this vision will broaden individual choices and lead to the happiness of individuals, the community, and future generations. Furthermore, the Ward will comprehensively implement various educational projects indicated in the "Action Plan 2028," formulated as an action program for the education vision, and promote the permeation of "MIRAI SCHOOL ITABASHI."

Motivation (The power to move forward in one's own way)

By accepting oneself as one is, one can grow with peers and possess the driving force to move towards the future.

Even with different personalities and standpoints, one can listen to others' stories and work together to solve problems.

Relation (The power to connect and help each other)

To help those around us and contribute to society, one can find things to do for others as if they were one's own and take action.

Activation (The power to take action independently)
