■ Background of Project Implementation
For SMEs to take root in the community, maintain vitality, and continue to grow, it is necessary to recruit, develop, and retain talent. However, the reality is that every company struggles from recruitment to retention, and this has become a common challenge regardless of the industry or the size of the company, be it agriculture, industry, commerce, or sole proprietors.
To solve these issues, we thought to create a receptacle (Iruma Kyoiku Partnership) for forming outside-company peers, make the region an attractive place to increase the number of applicants desiring to join companies in Iruma City, and tie this into talent recruitment, development, and retention.
■ Thoughts on Project Implementation
We want the '1st Iruma City Joint Entrance Ceremony,' planned for the first time, to be a ceremony that conveys that the entire city of Iruma welcomes the participating new and mid-career employees. Unlike a standard ceremony, we are focusing primarily on building relationships among the participating outside-company peers. By conducting team building through recreation (Mölkky) and a subsequent workshop, we hope to connect this to follow-up training for the growth of the new employees who will be active in the future.
We will continue to broadcast the appeal of Iruma City, its companies, and the people involved, advocating to make it an attractive city where the entire community pitches in to raise people, free from the constraints of competition.
