This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Showa era (1926).

The Great War of the Showa era had a significant impact on children's school lives. School diaries remaining in elementary schools in the city reveal details of school life during wartime, such as frequent air raid and alert warnings just before the end of the war, seeing off departing soldiers, labor services that consumed much time, and naginata training.

This special exhibition will feature school diaries, teaching materials, and air defense equipment from the wartime period, looking back at the Showa era's war from a school's perspective.
