Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, has launched an "Illegal Dumping Reporting System" that allows for 24-hour reporting via smartphone or personal computer, in order to strengthen measures against illegal dumping on public land managed by the city.

By allowing citizens to report with photos and location information from the scene, the city can quickly grasp the situation and take action on-site.

Waste illegally dumped on public land managed by Ichihara City.

* Reports of illegal dumping on private land or at garbage collection points (stations) are not accepted through this system. * For illegal dumping at garbage collection points (stations), immediate action will not be taken to ensure a period for thorough dissemination of information, as there may be possibilities of incorrect sorting or disposal on the wrong day.

Large-scale illegal dumping

Examples include multiple bags filled with garbage being dumped along the roadside, or a television being dumped along the roadside.

Notes

For abandoned bicycles, please contact the police. The police will handle the subsequent response.

Regarding reported information: The city will conduct on-site checks based on the information received.

After reporting, the city will not contact the reporter except for confirmation of the content.

It may take some time to remove illegally dumped items reported.

While reports can be made 24 hours a day, the city's receipt confirmation and on-site checks will be conducted during business hours on weekdays.
