The Himeji City Archaeological Heritage Center will host the 'TSUBOHORI - Excavation Exhibition 2026 - part 2' and the 'New Designation Memorial Exhibition of Himeji City Important Tangible Cultural Properties' from Sunday, April 26, 2026, to Sunday, August 30, 2026. The museum is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM) and admission is free. It is closed on Mondays and the day after public holidays.

Key exhibits include: - Sekinokuchi Site: Building transitions from pit-dwellings to raised-floor structures across the Yayoi and Kofun periods. - Himeji Castle Town Site: Discovery of the outer moat without stone walls in southern Himeji Castle, supporting the reliability of historical maps. - Mino Tumulus Group No. 6: Late Kofun period artifacts such as iron swords, horse tack, and rare Sue pottery with small animal footprints. - Mameda Site Wooden Slips: Muromachi period ritual slips found in a well, including well frame parts with 'Kao' signatures characteristic of samurai families.

Gallery talks will be held on April 26, June 6, July 19, and August 22 at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM (about 1 hour each). No registration is required.
