Concept is "Touch What You Want to Try". Adachi Ward's First Trailer House-Style Community Hub "Takenotsuka & Park" Opens on April 14

What is Takenotsuka & Park?

In May 2022, Adachi Ward was doubly selected as an "SDGs Future City" and for the "Municipal SDGs Model Project". As one of these model projects, "Aya Center Guru Guru" was born under the elevated tracks at the west exit of Ayase Station in October 2023, and as a hub for creating new interaction and vibrancy, over 230 "want to try" ideas have been realized so far.

To further expand this initiative from Ayase, "Takenotsuka & Park" is newly opening, utilizing public land under the elevated tracks of the Tobu Railway, located about a 3-minute walk from "Takenotsuka Station" on the Tobu Skytree Line. The facility's concept is "Touch what you want to try."

Centered around two trailer houses, it is a new town hub where anyone can casually stop by and get involved in small activities and the community. A community builder who connects people and the region will be stationed there, providing support from consultation to practice to realize the residents' "want to try" ideas.

What to do and what can be done at Takenotsuka & Park (provisional)

The spacious site of about 1,700 m² includes a trailer house, a kitchen trailer, and artificial turf. It is possible to hold markets and trial pop-up stores using the kitchen trailer, creating an environment that is easy for first-timers to participate in and generating opportunities to get involved in the community.

1. Hands-on support for "want to try" ideas that utilize your likes and skills

A community builder will conduct individual interviews and support the realization of "what you want to do using Takenotsuka & Park."

2. Holding collaborative events and markets with the community

Takenotsuka & Park will host and co-host collaborative projects with local residents and businesses to liven up Takenotsuka.

3. Trial pop-up stores using the kitchen trailer, etc.

It can be used for trial pop-ups by those who want to liven up the area through "food," and as a place for community interaction.
