Sherpa to Provide IHI with Sustainability Information Disclosure Support Cloud "SmartESG" and AI-Powered Answer Generation Service "Answer Ease"

Sherpa & Company, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Jun Sugimoto; hereinafter referred to as "Sherpa") is pleased to announce that it has begun providing IHI Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "IHI") with its sustainability information disclosure support cloud "SmartESG" and its AI-powered automatic answer generation service "SmartESG Answer Ease" (hereinafter referred to as "Answer Ease") from March 1, 2026.

IHI, guided by its management philosophy of "Contributing to the development of society through technology" and "Human resources are the greatest and only asset," addresses social issues related to infrastructure and industry, contributing to their solutions through technology.

IHI has decided to implement "SmartESG" and "Answer Ease," and Sherpa commenced providing both services in March 2026. By utilizing the "Database" and "Workflow" functions, IHI will centrally manage its sustainability information on the cloud and establish an internal data collection process. Furthermore, by using the "Focus" and "Benchmark" functions, IHI will visualize the interrelationships of diverse sustainability information, thereby standardizing the process of identifying key issues that the company should prioritize.

In addition, IHI will leverage "Answer Ease" to respond to the "Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)" operated by S&P Global, aiming to improve the efficiency of responding to rating agencies using AI. Sherpa is a certified partner of S&P Global (*1), and "SmartESG" achieves API integration with the "CSA" portal (*2), enabling smooth handling from answer generation to submission within the "SmartESG" platform.
