Sherpa & Company, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Jun Sugimoto; hereinafter "Sherpa") will host a webinar on MSCI ESG evaluations on May 20, 2026, inviting Moeko Porter, Vice President at MSCI Sustainability & Climate Research from MSCI Inc. (hereinafter "MSCI"), as a guest.

In recent years, amid growing demands for institutional disclosure such as SSBJ (*1) and CSRD (*2), companies are required to disclose more sophisticated and systematic sustainability information. On the other hand, many companies have not yet fully sorted out how ESG evaluations are utilized in investors' investment decisions, or how their own disclosures lead to evaluations. Under these circumstances, taking the opportunity of the methodology revision of MSCI ESG evaluations, there is an increasing need to re-examine the underlying concepts of evaluations and the responses required of companies.

In this seminar, we will welcome Moeko Porter from MSCI Inc. as a guest to organize the key points of action companies should grasp while considering the investor's perspective. In addition, we will dive deep from a practical standpoint into how to connect institutional disclosure with evaluation responses and how to prioritize efforts with limited resources.

(*1) SSBJ: Sustainability Standards Board of Japan
(*2) CSRD: Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
