Sherpa Joins Japan Business Federation (Keidanren)

Sherpa & Company Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Jun Sugimoto; hereinafter 'Sherpa') is pleased to announce its membership in the Japan Business Federation (hereinafter 'Keidanren') as of April 1, 2026.

■Background and Purpose of Membership

Keidanren, as Japan's leading comprehensive economic organization, engages in activities such as policy proposals and promoting inter-company collaboration. In recent years, with 'Society 5.0 for SDGs,' which aims to integrate digitalization and sustainability, as a core concept of its Charter of Corporate Behavior, it has also been conducting cross-industry discussions and making proposals on corporate governance, sustainability, and digitalization to enhance corporate value creation and competitiveness.

Sherpa supports the standardization and advancement of corporate sustainability operations through the provision of solutions centered on its sustainability data platform 'SmartESG'.

Amid calls for improved corporate value and strengthened international competitiveness, the importance of strategic planning, information disclosure, and stakeholder dialogue based on sustainability and non-financial perspectives in corporate management is increasing.

Our company aims to deepen its knowledge through dialogue with various companies affiliated with Keidanren, and by participating in discussions at various committees and subcommittees on corporate value creation, industrial policy, and sustainability, we will demonstrate our expertise and practical initiatives regarding the utilization of sustainability data. Through these efforts, we aim to contribute to building a foundation that supports the enhancement of Japanese companies' corporate value, which led to our current membership.
