The three events, the "Nagoya Women's Marathon 2027," the world's largest women's marathon; the "Nagoya City Marathon 2027," consisting of a half marathon and the Nagoya RUN (8.5km); and the "Nagoya Women's Wheelchair Marathon 2027," which gathers female wheelchair runners from across the country, will be held simultaneously in Nagoya City on Sunday, March 14, 2027.

The Nagoya Women's Marathon 2027 is a selection race for the "Beijing 2027 World Athletics Championships" and the "Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games" Japanese national team, and is a Women's G1 event in the MGC Series 2026-27.

The Nagoya City Marathon 2027 is an eligible event for the "Japan Premier Half Series / JPHS," which comprises six major domestic half marathons.

◆Challenge Entry Starts Sequentially from Friday, July 3!

Ahead of general entry, recruitment for "NB GO WOMEN," an all-women's running club aiming to participate in the Nagoya Women's Marathon 2027, will begin on Friday, July 3.

Furthermore, the first round of challenge entry, which allows participants to obtain priority entry rights for the "Nagoya Women's Marathon 2027," will start on Friday, July 17! Additionally, a second round of campaigns is planned for after Thursday, August 6.

Feel the Same Wind as World Athletes and Aim for the Same Goal

From athletes showing world-class performances to runners tackling their first 42.195km, all will run the same course. Regardless of ability, each person's challenge begins the moment they cross the start line.

The time limit is 7 hours. Additionally, since the start and finish are at Vantelin Dome Nagoya (indoors), which is less affected by weather, beginners can participate with peace of mind (96.6% completion rate in the 2026 event).

"Marathon EXPO" to Empower Women

The "Marathon EXPO," held at Vantelin Dome Nagoya, excites approximately 100,000 people over three days. In addition to sponsor booths showcasing the latest items and limited original merchandise, you can enjoy stages featuring glamorous guests. Furthermore, the fashion show "GO RUNWAY," which turns the finish lane into a runway, will push the venue's excitement to its peak.

World's Largest Women's Marathon Recognized by Guinness World RecordsTM

In its first year in 2012, 13,114 participants started, and it was certified as the "World's Largest Women's Marathon" by Guinness World RecordsTM. As a unique race, it has continued to challenge its own records, and currently, the 21,915 participants from the 2018 event are recorded as the world record.

World's Highest "Platinum Label"

The "Platinum Label" is the highest rank in the labeling system by World Athletics (the global governing body for athletics) that rates road races worldwide. This event was certified with this label in November 2019, evolving into a marathon that promotes the name "NAGOYA" to the world. Representative races holding the Platinum Label include the Boston Marathon (USA), London Marathon (UK), Berlin Marathon (Germany), and Tokyo Marathon.

Charity Activities Conducted

Charity activities are actively carried out in many events worldwide, including the London Marathon. This event offers a "Charity Entry Slot" (where donors can choose from organizations designated by the organizers) by adding a donation to the participation fee, and the collected donations are used to support social contribution activities.
