About VANILLABEANS, a Yokohama-based Craft Chocolate Specialty Store
VANILLABEANS was established in 2000, starting with online sales. It is now a Yokohama-based craft chocolate specialty store that focuses on cacao, with multiple physical cafes mainly in Yokohama Minatomirai.
Its signature product, the raw chocolate sandwich "Shokola" made with fair-trade chocolate, received the Consumer Jury Award in the International Category at the Social Products Award (2018), and the Grand Prix at the "Japan Food Selection," Japan's first food and ingredient screening and certification system by 23,000 food analysts (2023), for its "8-piece" set. In December 2024, it was selected as the No. 1 selling raw chocolate cookie sandwich in department stores and specialty stores (※).
Furthermore, in October 2025, "Paritro," a rich chocolate cake made with fair-trade chocolate, received the Grand Prix at the "Japan Food Selection."

From 2024 to 2026, approximately 9,500 cacao seedlings will be provided to young farmers who are starting their own farms, supporting sustainable cacao production.
