Anju Nakamura, former Nordic Combined World Cup winner, challenges ski jumping again and joins CHINTAI Ski Club

CHINTAI Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Michiya Okuda; hereinafter CHINTAI), a leading company in room searching, has decided to welcome Anju Nakamura, a ski jumper, as an employee on April 1, 2026, and to have her participate in competitive activities as a member of the CHINTAI Ski Club.

Ms. Nakamura is a world-class athlete who has achieved top-level results, including winning the World Cup in women's Nordic combined. She has now transitioned to ski jumping and continues her new challenge with the goal of participating in the 2030 Winter Olympics.

About Anju Nakamura

Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Ms. Nakamura started cross-country skiing at age 5, influenced by her elder brother. In her third year of junior high school, she placed 10th in the National Junior High School Ski Championships. With her high school enrollment, she transitioned to the newly established women's Nordic combined event. She has been active at the forefront of this sport for approximately 10 years.

Women's Nordic combined was first held as a World Cup event in 2020, and Ms. Nakamura has been one of the athletes challenging on the world stage since its dawn. She stood on the podium in the early World Cup competitions and steadily continued to grow, winning the World Cup in 2022.

After that, she experienced a temporary break from competition, but during her break, she reaffirmed the appeal of sports and decided to switch to ski jumping with the desire to "fly again." She has now resumed competitive activities as a ski jumper, setting participation in the 2030 Winter Olympics as her major goal.
