## What is the Chiba Prefecture PR Research Group: Local Government PR Department?
Among local governments in the prefecture, horizontal connections between PR representatives are weak, and opportunities to share advanced examples and effective methods from other municipalities are limited. Therefore, in an era of media diversification and audience segmentation, there is a challenge that the know-how accumulated by individuals is not easily passed on to the entire organization, or even to local governments across the prefecture.
To address this, the Chiba Prefecture PR Research Group launched the 'Local Government PR Department' in January 2026 with the aim of improving the PR capabilities of local governments in the prefecture by sharing knowledge, techniques, and ways of thinking useful for general PR operations, raising the PR mindset of participants, and helping them solve their daily worries and challenges. Moving forward, the group plans to continuously host various initiatives to resolve the issues faced by local government PR.
