Chiba University and Tokushima University have been working on a new type of academic collaboration aimed at 'enhancing each other without isolation,' triggered by their selection for the 'Regional Core and Characteristic Research University Strengthening Promotion Project (J-PEAKS)' by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). In March 2026, they took the first step by signing a partnership agreement. Through this agreement, the universities aim to trial a new field-led collaboration model through cooperation among practical staff, including URAs (University Research Administrators), to build a mutually beneficial relationship.
